New Music for a New Year

Like its transient population, Northern Virginia’s music scene is impossible to pinpoint. All types of genres, from Chillwave and Afrobeat to funk rock and death metal, have carved out a niche here. And it doesn’t look to get any less diverse in 2013.

We’ve compiled a list of local artists who will be ringing in the new year with shows. Who knows? You might just stumble across the next Dave Grohl.

Artist On The Rise
DC rapper Knox Hill reps the Redskins in this “Black and Yellow” inspired hip-hop track. The Bridgewater College alum just released his latest project, “The 92 Dream.”
